Located in Montréal’s renowned Golden Square Mile, the Acadia project involved transforming a 1925 condo into a contemporary and luxurious home, all while preserving its historic character. The thoughtful combination of period architectural details with modern furnishings gives the residence a unique and timeless quality. The layout was redesigned to include a functional, minimalist kitchen that opens onto a light-filled dining area, ideal for gatherings. A dining table and curved chairs were carefully selected for their playfully elegant lines. Directly accessible from the entrance, the living room reveals itself as the heart of the home. The clean-lined, modern furniture subtly complements the space’s historic elements, such as a fireplace mantel and classic chevron flooring.
The primary and guest bedrooms were reimagined as chic, restful retreats, enhanced by built-in storage for greater functionality. The powder room stands out with its bold pink lime washed walls and gold accents, while the main bathroom, drawing inspiration from the original green marble, features green-veined quartz surfaces for a touch of understated luxury. Staying true to its NewYork–style neoclassical roots, this interior skillfully bridges historic charm and modern elegance, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming urban sanctuary in the heart of Montréal.
